America’s brave men and women valiantly fight and risk their lives to protect and preserve our freedom and way of life. Having faithfully discharged their duties, this group has experienced and witnessed extreme conditions – worlds away.

Thousands have made the supreme sacrifice. Many others return with loss of limbs and worse. Some battle within with ongoing and haunting nightmares. A recent study reports outside of combat, the Number Two cause of death is suicide.

Untold thousands are coming home but . . . to what?

What Awaits Our Heroes?

Many are facing difficult recovery from injuries, anxiety, joblessness, loneliness, broken relationships, and the battle multiple addictions.

The VetNet image is that of a person trying to walk on a tightrope, an extremely dangerous undertaking. A safety net is needed to catch those falling. VetNet serves this purpose for military personnel.

Of What Does the “Net” Consist?

To meet these needs, NLBM offers the following at no cost to participants:

  • For those facing troubled home settings . . . Christian Marriage Skills.
  • For those who are embattled in heart and mind . . . Attitudes & Behaviors.
  • For those struggling to overcome chemical abuse . . . Christians Against Substance Abuse.
  • For those fighting a forest fire of inner rage . . . Managing My Anger.
  • For those seeking a new or renewed spiritual path . . . The Seeker Bible Study Series.

Each course has thirteen chapters or lessons authored by humble Christian servants. If desired, the student may submit the Study Questions for review/grading and receive an attractive “certificate.”

Who Is Eligible?

While VetNet is directly aimed at those coming home, retiring, or exiting military service (veterans), this offer is to any active-duty personnel as well. Sometimes, a family member is in greater need. For instance, the following appeared in the local newspaper: “It was only a ‘training’ accident, but the copter went down taking the life of this woman’s husband and left her to explain it to their three children. ‘I told them there was a crash. Daddy was a hero. He was very brave. He was doing his job, but he was not coming back.’” So, the VetNet offer is extended to any family member.

What about Children?

Our Children’s Edition is appropriate for those from about age 5 to 12. Even those a bit younger can benefit with the help of a patient, caring family member or friend. The course contains something for everyone (from coloring pages to crossword puzzles). When signing up, please indicate the child’s age and/or grade.

Partnerships & Collaboration

We continue to contact other organizations whose goal is to help our military. We help one another. If VetNet has a primary focus, it is on our veterans. VetNet is advertised widely with growing numbers signing up. We reach out to every branch (Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marines, etc.). Each branch has its peculiar protocol and since governmental, they do not endorse or favor particular faith-based programs. We cannot purchase ads in some publications. We have found the best advertising is costless – one military person telling another military person! Thank you for helping!

Use of Personal Information

VetNet does not share participant data with any other organization or person(s). We store information to track addresses for shipping purposes only. We do not call, email, visit, or otherwise contact any individual unless specifically requested to do so by the student.

How Do I Start?

We recommend that you take one course at a time. When one series is completed, let us know that you are ready to receive the next course on your prioritized list of pre-requested studies. The NLB curriculum has fifteen courses. VetNet participants can receive any of these – one course at a time.

How Long Does It Take to Receive My First Course?

You are likely to receive your first course within 7-10 days from the time we receive your request.
