Family Upreach, Inc. (DBA: NewLife Behavior Ministries) researches, designs, develops, produces, and distributes curriculum to reconcile individuals to God, families, and society. Of necessity, this includes the recruitment and training of persons to as instructors. Once trained, a “Certification” diploma is issued with data added to our master list in Corpus Christi. In this way we can confirm those trained to authorities and reproduce lost certificates. These records began in July 2002. If you were teaching NLB curriculum prior to 2002, contact us immediately to receive your certificate.

So, let’s answer this question: “How does one become a NLB Instructor?”

Numerous methods are used to achieve this. Plus, we continuously add helpful tips to improve teaching skills and enhance training. Here are a few current options.

• Schedule a weekend in Corpus Christi. Arrive Friday and enjoy dinner with the NLBM President, meet the staff at the office Saturday morning for training until noon, and return home that afternoon.
• Attend the 3-day National Prison Workshop in June as it moves across the nation. Two NLB instructor training sessions are offered during this annual conference.
• Our Regional Directors in various states are capable of training others in their local areas. Once trained, the Regional Director passes the information to the central office and the Certification Certificate is sent.
• Statewide and Regional training seminars are periodically offered throughout the year. Any congregation may schedule a special training weekend and invite others interested to attend and become certified.
• Training may also be done through the U.S. mail with a packet of materials and DVDs. An open-book exam is returned to the central office for evaluation and ultimately – certification.
• The monthly NLB newsletter contains helpful training information and announcements. It is free and may be requested at any time (provided electronically, if preferred).

• Training never ends. Advanced training results in greater confidence and positive results.
